CHAMPION INCENTIVE PROGRAM
Are you a school, church or kids organization leader? Maybe a coach or engaged parent for a youth sports team? Become a Kids Move Champion and make a positive impact on the lives of young people throughout Coastal Mississippi. By supporting and coaching kids to participate in the Chevron Kids Marathon or the 5K, you’ll be helping them develop healthy habits, build confidence, and have fun! Kids Move Champions will individually receive the following perks by growing their team!
*Recruit 10 Kids - earn an entry to the Margaritaville 5k
*Recruit 20 Kids - earn an entry to the Margaritaville 5k and get a Chevron Kids Move sweatshirt
*Recruit 40 Kids - earn an entry to the Margaritaville 5k, get a Chevron Kids Move sweatshirt and get a $100 cash gift card
How do I participate as a Kids Move Champion?
1. Gather a group of kids ages 5-12.
2. Create a Chevron Kids Move Team via Run Sign Up. Click here for more information on creating your team page.
3. Recruit your school, team or organization to sign up for the Chevron Kids Marathon
4. Track your progress on your team's page in RunSignup.com and reach your recruitment goals.
TOP 3 KIDS ORGANIZATIONS
We will have cash awards for the TOP 3 KIDS ORGANIZATIONS with the most participants. Organizations can be schools, youth teams, scout troops, church groups, or any youth based organization. First place receives $500, second receives $300, and third place will receive $150!
You MUST identify your child's organization when you complete the registration in order for the organization to get credit.

What is included with a Chevron Kids Marathon registration?
*ATHLETE bib with an electronic timing chip
*PARENT bib to be worn by the parent/guardian responsible for checking the child out after the race

Is there an age limit? The Chevron Kids Marathon is for children 12 years old and under. Kids 12+ should register for the Margaritaville 5K. (Both distances are friendly to walking, and race staff attends a "half-mile" turnaround to let the little kids get back to the finish line quicker if they like.)
Can parents run with their children? Yes, but we encourage you to let them run on their own. The course is closely monitored and secured by race officials and local police. Parents running the 5K race need to be registered runners and have their own bib.
Finish Line & Kid Checkout: Only race personnel and kids participating in the race will be allowed in the finish chute and checkout areas. Once you see your child in the finish chute, you can show your PARENT bib to the attendant to claim your child. If you have multiple kids participating, you will need to show your PARENT bib for each child in order for them to be released. If a parent runs with their child, please WEAR the PARENT bib.
If you do not have the PARENT bib that matches the CHILD bib, the attendant will verify the information the information on the back with your photo ID. If you don't have a photo ID, you will be directed to one of our police partners to claim your child.
