Course Information - Saturday Races
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon weekend is a multi-race event, offering four different distances. Saturday gets started at 8am with our Margaritaville Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon 5K, and is followed by our Chevron Kids Marathon 1-Mile race at 9:30am. Sunday is our Marathon and Half Marathon, both of which start at 7am. We offer a Double Down award for runners who want to run on both days.
Margaritaville Mississippi Gulf Coast 5K - 3.1 Miles

A 5K that everyone from the most experienced runner to the first-timer can appreciate. Toe the line with Mississippi locals and travelers striving to secure a Double Down award for running both days. This race is for everyone, from sprinters, to joggers, to walkers.
The race features a point-to-point course starting in Ocean Springs and finishing at Margaritaville Resort in Biloxi. The course takes runners down Front Beach Road and across the Biloxi Bay Bridge to the finish line and post-race party at Margaritaville Resort.
Pre-Race shuttles will be provided Saturday for the Margaritaville 5K. Shuttles will leave from Margaritaville Resort starting at 5:45am and take you to Ocean Springs. The last shuttle will leave for Ocean Springs at 7:40am. You will unload at Ocean Springs Harbor Pier which is within walking distance of the start line. Shuttles will not be provided back to Ocean Springs after the race, they are one-way shuttles and PRE-RACE ONLY.
Chevron Mississippi Gulf Coast Kids Marathon - 1 Mile

The Kids Marathon is a 1-mile race designed as a way to introduce kids to the joy and rewards of running at an early age, and promote an active family lifestyle. The course will start and finish at the Margaritaville Resort - Biloxi.
*All courses are very well marked. There are mile markers for each distance event, directional signs for course splits and TURNAROUND signs for course turnarounds. Course splits and course turnarounds will be manned with an operations staff member who will typically be making announcements on a megaphone. Course turns are indicated with traffic cones and usually (not always) have police units, volunteers and/or staff members. Traffic on courses is managed by our law enforcement partners, but no roads are promised to be closed to all traffic. Runners should be aware of their surroundings: the course, applicable signage, vehicles, staff, volunteers, and police officers.
*All runners are required to complete the 5K at an average 29:00 minute per mile pace. Kids have a total of 30 minutes to complete the Kids Mile.
Mississippi Gulf Coast 5K & Kids Mile Post Race Party
The Post Race celebration for the Margaritaville Mississippi Gulf Coast 5K and Chevron Kids Marathon - 1 Mile will take place outside of the Margaritaville Resort. We hope you stay and celebrate with us! Participants will be able to have delicious food and beverages, grab some official race gear from the gear shop, and celebrate your accomplishment with family and friends!
